Anabatic Records presents NU – BAY$$ Vol. 1

Our early high school years we were all exposed to hip hop, bay area rap then house music. It’s been a while and glad to say it’s come full circle and a marriage of these genres is now, and it’s really good.

The first installment on Anabatic Records, NU-BAY$$ Vol.1 compilation sets it gears to put a new face to the Bay Area and it’s cross dance/ghetto rap scene. With consistent releases focused on housey-bass and collaborations with many producers, Anabatic label owner, Worthy has carefully selected which artists and tracks would soon be the imprint of NU-BAY$$. The new group of slumpers on this compilation is Sepehr, Kill Frenzy, Pasteman & Herebot, and Winston Wolfe. With already much support from Catz N Dogz, Eats Everything, Danny Daze, Justin Martin, we agree with “Apple Bottoms” being an instant hit when we first heard it. While “Off the Chain” has a classic juke feeling, “Hurt Somebody” is keeps the floor moving and the last track is the remix of Worthy’s “Work the Walls” has a ‘West Coast Cali’ rollin through the Hood’ feeling. This compilation is sure to get it’s way into rides and DJ rotation this summer.
